The medical hub in Palava would be aimed at addressing the significant supply-demand gap in healthcare facilities in the MMR region, both for local use as well as inbound medical travel (from other parts of India as well as internationally, particularly from SAARC and Middle East countries).
By 2025, Palava intends to develop its medical services oriented economy through:
- Private medical clinics focused on day treatments, located in a high quality facility close to the hospital, to enable skilled doctors to run their own practice and also service longer-stay patients at the hospital.
- Nursing training institute to provide supply of high quality staff
- Larger ecosystem of hotel, service apartment, retail, entertainment and tourism facilities which provide an ideal environment for patients and their families
